Hi Folks -
OK, for years, I only had the Taco with steelies, so I never worried about scraping the curb. Now the Volvo has alloy wheels. About 8 mos ago, I scraped the passenger front against the curb and did the drivers side last week. I see there are wheel repair services out there - has anyone used them? What was the cost? I’m trying to figure if it’s worth getting them repaired or buying replacements (about $140/ea) or just gutting it out and living with the scrapes...
Thoughts?

scrapes are cosmetic, its a matter of what the cost of appearance is to you, but there are people that can clean them up most times.

This is a good guide if you ever wanted to try and tackle it yourself.

Some of these services/guys are so good you can never tell there was damage. Some are terrible. Most of the actual companies with names and logos and all that are closer to the former. Cost usually runs about $50-$100 per wheel. Some even offer warranties on their workmanship.
